Office Depot and Alibaba Form Partnership to Empower Businesses

Office Depot and Alibaba announced that they will be joining hand for a partnership. This announcement was made on Monday. Both of the firms are aiming at the empowerment of the small and medium sized firms in the United States. These SMBs are likely to nurture if they are able to benefit from the worldwide Business to Business e-commerce platform.

This collaboration within the 2 firms would boost the firms’ strength towards this empowerment of the SMBs in the United States. The Office Depot has over 10 million business customers in the United Stated, whereas Alibaba possess more than 150 thousand suppliers in a wide range of services falling into different categories.

Through this agreement, Both of these business tycoons have been able to form a new co-brand resulting from the collaboration, this new co-brand would be an online destination. This marketplace would be on the domain of Alibaba. This would be helping the small and medium sized businesses in accessing the worldwide network of suppliers that Alibaba has.

The partnership aims at enhancing the sales and customer support based in the US as well as driving the Small and Medium Businesses acceptance.

If this proves to be successful, more collaboration between the firms could be seen in the near future.
